Welcome
Leader, pastor, minister, servant of God — if you have found your way here, I suspect it is because you are running on empty. You have been pouring out for your congregation, your team, your ministry, your family, your community. You have been the one others lean on, the one who carries burdens others do not see, the one who prays for everyone else while sometimes forgetting to be prayed for yourself. And Jesus sees you.
The enemy targets leaders — not because they are weak, but because they are influential. If he can drain you, he can affect everyone you serve. If he can make you feel isolated, he can keep you from the very community that would strengthen you. But Jesus modeled something different. He withdrew to pray. He rested. He let His disciples serve while He received. And at this Table, He is inviting you to stop pouring out long enough to be filled again.

Why This Communion Matters
Ministry leadership is a peculiar kind of calling. It demands that you give what you often do not have, that you stand strong when you feel weak, that you model faith when you are fighting doubt privately. And over time, the gap between what you present and what you feel can become unbearable. The Table closes that gap. At Communion, there are no masks, no titles, no expectations — just you and Jesus.
This Communion service is not about getting more strategies for ministry or more tips for leadership. It is about letting Jesus wash your feet. It is about remembering that before you were a leader, you were a beloved child. It is about receiving what you cannot manufacture — supernatural refreshment, deep soul rest, and the renewal that comes only from hoping in the Lord. You do not have to earn this. You only have to receive it.
Primary Scripture
Isaiah 40:31
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Also: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
Short Teaching
Isaiah 40:31 contains a promise that will sustain every leader: renewal is available to those who hope in the Lord. Notice the sequence — strength does not come from trying harder, pushing through, or gritting your teeth. It comes from hoping. Waiting. Trusting. Placing your expectation not on your own capacity but on His.
The Hebrew word translated "renew" here literally means to exchange — as in exchanging old garments for new ones. When you hope in the Lord, He does not just patch up your worn-out strength; He exchanges it. He takes your exhaustion and gives you His energy. He takes your depletion and gives you His fullness. This is not a gradual process — it is an exchange that happens at the point of trust.
Jesus modeled this for every leader. Before He fed the five thousand, He withdrew to a solitary place. Before He chose His twelve disciples, He spent the night in prayer. Before the cross, He let a woman anoint His feet with expensive perfume — receiving ministry even as He prepared to give the ultimate ministry. Jesus was never too busy to be refilled, and He is not asking you to be either.
The Table is where this exchange happens most tangibly. You bring your emptiness, and He gives you His fullness. You bring your weariness, and He gives you His rest. You bring your burnout, and He gives you His fire. This is not about performing leadership. This is about receiving from the One who called you to lead.
Part One
The Bread
His Body — Given for Your Restoration
Prayer Over the Bread
Lord Jesus,
I hold this bread and remember Your body — the body that walked from village to village, teaching, healing, and serving. The body that knelt to wash dirty feet. The body that carried a cross up a hill. You were the ultimate servant-leader, and You never ran on empty because You were always connected to the Father.
Your body was broken so that mine could be restored. By the stripes on Your back, I receive physical strength for the work ahead. I receive emotional restoration for every wound I have absorbed in ministry. I receive spiritual renewal for the calling that still burns in my heart. I refuse to lead on empty. I receive the bread of heaven.
Thank You, Jesus. I exchange my exhaustion for Your energy, my depletion for Your fullness, my burnout for Your fire. Amen.
Receive the Bread
Take the bread. Eat it. As you do, receive the strength that was purchased for you. You do not lead alone. The One who called you is the One who sustains you.

Part Two
The Cup
His Blood — The Covenant of Refreshing
Prayer Over the Cup
Lord Jesus,
I hold this cup and remember Your blood — the blood that sealed a covenant in which I am not a hired servant but a beloved child. Ministry can make me feel like a hired hand — responsible for everything, replaceable at any moment, valued only for what I produce. But Your blood tells a different story. Your blood says I am family. Your blood says I belong before I do anything.
I receive the refreshing that comes from the New Covenant. I receive the joy of serving not for approval but from acceptance. I receive the freedom of leading not from insecurity but from identity. I am not a hired hand. I am a son. I am a daughter. I am beloved before I am useful. And from that place of belovedness, I will serve with joy.
Thank You, Jesus, that Your blood purchased not just my salvation but my identity. I am loved. I am secure. I am sustained. Amen.
Receive the Cup
Drink now. As you do, receive the refreshment of the covenant. You are not a worker earning love — you are a child receiving from a Father who delights in you.

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for stopping me long enough to sit at this Table. I confess that I have been running on fumes. I have been pouring out without being poured into. I have been leading without letting You lead me. I repent of the pride that says I can sustain my own calling without Your daily refreshment.
Refill me now, Father. Restore the joy of my salvation. Renew the passion for the call You placed on my life. Remind me that I am not the Savior — Jesus is. I do not have to fix everyone, solve everything, or carry every burden. I can cast my cares on You because You care for me. I can rest because You never slumber. I can lead from overflow, not from depletion.
I seal this Communion in the precious blood of Jesus. I will lead from identity, not insecurity. I will serve from belovedness, not burnout. I will run and not grow weary because I hope in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
