Covering Your Children in Prayer
Father, I bring my children before Your throne. Whether they are tiny in my arms or grown with families of their own, they are Yours first. You entrusted them to me for a season, and I need Your wisdom, patience, and strength to steward that gift well.
Cover them with Your protection — physically, emotionally, spiritually. Guard their hearts from what would corrupt them. Guard their minds from what would deceive them. Guard their bodies from harm. Send Your angels to watch over them in ways I cannot.
Draw them to Yourself. Let them come to know You early and deeply. Let their faith be their own — not borrowed from me, but cultivated in their own hearts. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For the Weary Parent
Lord, parenting is the hardest thing I have ever done. Some days I feel like I'm failing. I lose my patience. I say the wrong things. I wonder if I'm doing any of this right. The weight of shaping a life feels overwhelming some days.
Remind me that You are the perfect parent. You fill in my gaps. You cover my mistakes. You are working in my children's lives even when I can't see it. Help me to parent from a place of grace, not guilt — and to extend that same grace to myself.
Give me wisdom for the hard conversations. Patience for the repetitive ones. Courage for the confrontations. And love that covers a multitude of mistakes — theirs and mine. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For the Prodigal Child
God, my child is far from You right now — and maybe far from me too. They've made choices that break my heart. They've walked away from everything I tried to teach them. I feel helpless. I feel like I failed. But I know that You are the God who brings prodigals home.
Pursue them. Send people into their path who will speak truth in love. Protect them in their wandering. Do whatever it takes to draw them back to You — and to me. I release them into Your hands, trusting that Your love for them is even greater than mine.
I will not stop praying. I will not stop believing. I will watch for their return with hope. In Jesus' name, Amen.
