Prayer for Healing from Abuse

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come before You with the wounds of abuse — wounds that are deep, wounds that have shaped me, wounds I did not choose and did not deserve. I thank You that You see what happened. I thank You that You know the abuse was wrong — deeply wrong, evil, a violation of everything You designed. I thank You that You are not judging me for what was done to me. You are not ashamed of me. You are not blaming me.

I name what happened. I will not hide it. The abuse was real. It was wrong. It was not my fault. I did not cause it. I did not deserve it. I was not asking for it. The shame belongs to the one who abused me, not to me.

I confess that I have carried shame that is not mine. I have protected the abuser by staying silent. I have believed the lie that I am damaged goods, that I am worth less because of what was done to me. Those are lies. I reject every one of them now.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my abuse — over the wounds, over the trauma stored in my body, over the memories that haunt me, over the triggers that ambush me. I plead the blood over the abuser — I release them to You, the righteous Judge. I do not need to carry the weight of judgment.

I release the shame. It is not mine. It never was. I reclaim my power — the power that was taken from me, the power I surrendered to survive. I reclaim my body — it is mine, it is good, it is worthy of care and respect. I reclaim my voice — I will not be silenced anymore.

I commit to my healing — not rushing it, not performing wholeness before it is real, but walking the long road of recovery with You. Thank You that healing is possible. Thank You that survivors heal. Thank You that I am healing. I love You. I honor You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
