A Prayer for Healing from Brokenness
Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus, and I'm bringing my BROKENNESS to You! I'm BROKEN, God! Not just hurt — BROKEN! Like something that's been shattered and I don't know how to put it back together!
But I know that YOU heal the brokenhearted! YOU bind up their wounds! YOU come close to the broken! So I'm asking YOU to do what only YOU can do — MAKE ME WHOLE AGAIN!
Psalm 147:3 says: He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. HEAL me! BIND me up! Put me back together!
I release all the shame I'm carrying about being broken. I release all the self-judgment about not being able to fix myself. I release all the fear that I'll always be broken. I'm bringing this broken piece to You and I'm asking for RESTORATION!
Isaiah 61:1-3 says: The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me... to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
BEAUTY for ashes! JOY for mourning! PRAISE for heaviness! That's what I'm asking for! Take my ashes and make something BEAUTIFUL! Take my mourning and give me JOY! Take my heaviness and give me PRAISE!
I can FEEL the healing happening! I can SENSE the restoration beginning! The pieces are coming back together! Not the same as before, but STRONGER! Not the same as before, but MORE BEAUTIFUL!
I declare that I AM BEING HEALED! I declare that I am WHOLE! I declare that my brokenness is not PERMANENT — it's TEMPORARY! God is FIXING me! God is RESTORING me! God is making me MORE than I was before!
Thank You for coming close to my brokenness! Thank You for binding me up! Thank You for making me whole! Thank You for beauty from ashes! In the healing and restoration name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!
