Prayers for Marriage & Family
Covering your home, your marriage, and the people you love most.
A Prayer Over Your Marriage
Father, I lift up my marriage to You. You brought us together, and You are the cord of three strands that cannot be broken. Protect what You have joined. Guard our hearts against division, resentment, and drifting apart.
Help me to love my spouse the way You love — patiently, kindly, without keeping score. Help me to listen more than I speak, to understand before demanding to be understood. Give me humility to admit when I'm wrong and grace when I'm right.
Renew the love that first drew us together. Let our marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Build a legacy of love that our children and our children's children will inherit. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scripture Anchor
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12
Covering Your Home
Lord, I dedicate my home to You. Every room. Every conversation. Every meal shared around the table. Let Your presence fill this house. Let peace dwell within these walls. Let anyone who walks through our door feel the love of Christ.
I pray a hedge of protection around my family — spiritually, emotionally, physically. Guard us from the enemy's schemes. Protect our relationships from division. Let forgiveness flow freely. Let gratitude be our default posture. Make our home a sanctuary in a chaotic world.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scripture Anchor
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15
When the Marriage Is Struggling
God, we're in a hard season. The distance feels wide. The hurt runs deep. Words have been said that can't be unsaid. Trust has been damaged. We don't know how to find our way back to each other. But nothing is impossible for You.
You are the God who restores. You make dead things live again. Breathe life into this marriage. Soften hearts that have grown hard. Open ears that have stopped listening. Heal wounds that we've been ignoring. If we need help — a counselor, a pastor, a mentor — bring the right person into our path.
We choose to fight for this marriage, not against each other. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scripture Anchor
“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9
Personal Declaration
“My home belongs to God. My marriage is covered by His grace. I speak unity, peace, and love over my family. No weapon formed against my household will prosper. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Speak this aloud. Your words carry faith.
