Prayer for Military Families

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to You as a military family. I thank You for the honor of serving our country. I thank You for the strength You give my loved one. I thank You that You are with them wherever they go. I thank You that their service is valuable and important.

I acknowledge the difficulty of this life. I acknowledge the deployments and the separations. I acknowledge the worry that comes with loving someone in a dangerous profession. I acknowledge the financial strain and the emotional toll.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my loved one. Over their safety. Over their integrity. Over their protection. I plead the blood over my family, over our ability to stay strong while we are separated.

Protect my loved one in every situation. Keep them safe from physical harm. Give them wisdom in their decisions. Keep them strong in their character and their faith. Help me be strong while they are away. Help me manage the home front well. Help me not spend my days consumed with worry.

When they come home, help us transition well. Help us reconnect. Thank You for protecting my loved one. Thank You for sustaining our family through separations. Thank You that their service is making a difference. I love You. I honor You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
