It asks for character development, mental sharpness, financial stewardship, and relational growth — so when the opportunity comes, you're READY.
A Prayer to Be Prepared for What God Is Preparing
Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus, and I feel it in my SPIRIT — You're PREPARING me for something! I can SENSE it! Something is coming! Something BIGGER! Something I'm not ready for yet! But You're getting me READY!
So instead of asking You to hurry up, I'm INVITING You to DO YOUR WORK in me right now! REFINE me! STRENGTHEN me! DEVELOP me! SHAPE me for what's coming!
Malachi 3:2-3 says: But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire... And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.
REFINER'S FIRE! That's what I'm inviting! The fire that PURIFIES! The heat that STRENGTHENS! The process that TRANSFORMS! I'm not running from the refining! I'm RUNNING INTO IT!
Burn away my pride! Burn away my doubt! Burn away my fear! Make me PURE! Make me STRONG! Make me READY!
I'm working on myself too! I'm not just waiting passively. I'm READING! I'm LEARNING! I'm GROWING! I'm DEVELOPING! I'm working on my CHARACTER! Make me HUMBLE but BOLD! Make me HUMBLE but CONFIDENT!
I'm working on my MIND! Make it SHARP! Make it DISCERNING! Make it WISE! I'm working on my RELATIONSHIPS! Make me a GIVER! Make me a HELPER! Make me someone people WANT to follow! I'm working on my FINANCES! Make me a good STEWARD! Make me GENEROUS! Make me someone who BLESSES others!
I declare that I AM BEING PREPARED! I declare that this season of refinement is NECESSARY and GOOD! I declare that when opportunity comes, I will be READY!
I'm not perfect, but I'm PREPARED! I'm not finished growing, but I'm READY! Thank You for the refining fire! Thank You for the preparation season! Thank You for making me ready for what You have coming!
In the refining and preparation name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!
