Prayer for Salvation
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9
This is the most important prayer anyone will ever pray. Salvation is not about religion — it is about relationship. It is not about being good enough — it is about being loved enough that God Himself came to rescue you. Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead so that you could be made right with God. If you have never made that decision for yourself, this is your moment. If you are praying for someone you love to come to faith, this prayer is for them too. There is no one beyond God's reach.
A Prayer for Salvation
Father, I come before You with the most important request of all — the salvation of souls.
Lord, I thank You that You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. You loved the world so much that You gave Your only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. I stand on that promise right now.
If you are praying this for yourself: Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that You rose from the dead on the third day. I turn from my sin and I turn to You. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Come into my life, Jesus. Be my Lord and my Savior. I give You my past, my present, and my future. Make me new. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. From this moment on, I belong to You. Thank You for saving me.
If you are praying for someone else: Father, I lift up the person on my heart right now — the one I have been praying for, the one whose salvation seems impossible, the one who is running hard away from You. Lord, You know their name. You know their story. You know what has hardened their heart. I ask You to soften that heart. Tear down every argument and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. Let them have an encounter with the living God that they cannot explain away. Send laborers across their path — people who will speak truth in love. And if I am to be one of those laborers, give me the words, the timing, and the courage. I bind every spirit of blindness and unbelief that is keeping them from seeing the truth. In the name of Jesus, I command every veil to be removed from their eyes. I declare that they WILL come to know You — because You are not willing that any should perish.
Thank You, Father, that salvation belongs to the Lord. Thank You that no one is too far gone. Thank You that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work to bring the lost home.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
