Psalm 23 — A Prayer of Trust
Lord, You are my Shepherd — I lack nothing. You make me lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul. When my mind is racing and my heart is anxious, lead me back to those quiet waters today. Restore the parts of me that are worn thin.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil — for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You don't always remove the valley, but You always walk through it with me. I am not alone in the dark places.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. In full view of everything that threatens me, You set out a feast. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Your house forever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:16–21 — A Prayer for Strength
Father, out of Your glorious riches, strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being. I don't just need physical strength today — I need deep, internal strength that comes from Your Spirit dwelling in the core of who I am.
Let Christ dwell in my heart through faith. Make me rooted and established in love — not tossed around by circumstances or emotions. Give me power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ — a love that surpasses knowledge. Fill me with all the fullness of God.
To Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power at work within me — to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever. Amen.
Numbers 6:24–26 — A Blessing
Lord, I receive Your blessing over my life today: The Lord bless me and keep me. The Lord make His face shine upon me and be gracious to me. The Lord lift up His countenance upon me and give me peace.
I speak this blessing over my family, my home, my work, and every person I encounter today. Let Your face shine on each of us. Let Your peace settle over every situation I face. Let Your keeping power guard every step I take. Let Your grace cover every word I speak. In Jesus' name, Amen.
