Prayer for Waiting for an Organ Donor

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to You from the waiting list. I thank You that You are with me in the uncertainty. I thank You that my life is in Your hands, not just in medical odds. I thank You for the possibility of a second chance.

I acknowledge the weight of this waiting. I acknowledge that my body is getting weaker. I acknowledge the fear that a match may not come in time. I acknowledge that the uncertainty makes it hard to plan, hard to hope, hard to live.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my body while I wait. Over my spirit — that I would not lose hope. Over the donor who will be my match. Over the timing — that it would be exactly right. Over my family who waits with me.

Sustain me while I wait. Strengthen my body. Protect my organs that are still functioning. Let a match come — in Your perfect timing. Give me peace that does not depend on outcomes. Give my family strength.

I commit to trusting You whether the wait is short or long. Thank You that You have not abandoned me to this disease. Thank You that my hope is bigger than a transplant. I love You. I honor You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
