Prayer for World Peace

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to You for world peace. I thank You that You are the God of peace. I thank You that peace is not just the absence of conflict but the presence of Your Kingdom. I thank You that You have promised a day when nations will not lift up sword against nation.

I acknowledge the brokenness of our world. I acknowledge the wars. The conflicts. The hatred. The oppression. I acknowledge that peace looks impossible from a human perspective, but nothing is impossible for You.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over the nations. Over every conflict zone. Over every place where people are suffering because of war or violence. Over every leader who holds the power to make peace or to make war.

I pray for reconciliation between peoples who have been enemies. I pray for leaders who will choose peace over power. I pray for the victims of war — refugees, the wounded, the grieving. I pray for justice that creates the conditions for lasting peace. I pray for the Church to be peacemakers who reflect Your heart.

I commit to being a peacemaker in my own sphere. I commit to praying for peace and not just consuming the news. Thank You that peace is possible. Thank You that You are working even when we cannot see it. I love You. I honor You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
