Your Time. Your Talent. Your Purpose. One Act of Love at a Time.
Built by people who have been through something. Serving people who are going through something.Still standing — together.
I want to be honest with you
before you read any further.
Nicole Washington Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit run by one woman from a dialysis chair.
Not a large organization. Not a paid staff. Not a building or a budget that makes everything easy.
What it has is a calling. A community of people navigating hard seasons who need someone to show up for them. Fifty free teachings. Fifteen books written between dialysis treatments. A support group that meets every Tuesday for people who have nowhere else to go.
That is what this is.
And the people who serve this ministry — the ones who post the content, design the graphics, answer the emails, format the books, and reach into communities where people are hurting and alone — they are not just volunteers.
They are Still Here people.
People who have faced something. Survived something. Helped someone else through something. Or are still in the middle of something and choosing to show up anyway.
If that is you — you already understand this ministry better than any resume could explain.
We have been waiting for you.
— Pastor Nicole Washington

Who We Are Looking For
This is not a general volunteer program.
This is the Still Here Volunteer Team.
The person who answers a prayer request at 2 a.m. from someone in a dialysis chair needs to understand — in their body, not just their head — what it feels like to need someone to show up.
The person who manages our social media needs to know why this message matters before they post it.
The person who formats our books needs to understand that the words they are typesetting were written from inside a real hard season — and that the person who will read them is in one right now.
We are looking for Still Here volunteers.
Not perfect people. Not people with flawless testimonies. People who have been through something and are still standing.
Your story matters here as much as your skill.
If your life has been hard — if you have survived something, cared for someone, lost something, or are still carrying something and choosing to keep going anyway — you are exactly who we are looking for.

What We Need
Each role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going.
Social Media Manager
What you will do:
Schedule and post content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Share teachings, support group reminders, book announcements, prayer resources, and ministry updates on a consistent schedule. Help more people in hard seasons find this community.
What you need:
Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Ability to schedule posts using a social media tool. 3 to 5 hours per week consistently. A heart for the mission.
What you will NOT have access to:
Ministry financial accounts of any kind. Website backend or login credentials. Authority to post without approved content.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.
Ministry Graphic Designer
What you will do:
Create graphics for social media posts, teaching announcements, book promotions, event flyers, and ministry resources. Work from brand guidelines — royal purple, gold, and white — using Canva or similar tools.
What you need:
Experience with Canva or graphic design tools. An eye for clean on-brand visual design. Ability to receive feedback and revise. 2 to 4 hours per week.
What you will NOT have access to:
Ministry financial accounts of any kind. Website backend or login credentials. Any publishing authority without approval — all graphics are submitted for review before anything is posted.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.
Ministry Communications Volunteer
What you will do:
Monitor the ministry email inbox. Respond to general inquiries using approved templates. Receive and log prayer requests submitted through the website. Forward prayer requests to the prayer team. Flag urgent or sensitive messages for Pastor Nicole's attention.
What you need:
Professional written communication skills. Discretion and confidentiality — these are real people sharing real pain and privacy is sacred. Availability to check email at least once daily. Compassion. This is pastoral work even when it is digital.
What you will NOT have access to:
Financial information of any kind. Ministry accounts beyond the designated email inbox. Authority to make ministry decisions or commitments.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.
PDF Formatter
What you will do:
Take completed manuscript documents and format them into professional branded PDFs for digital distribution. Apply brand colors, fonts, logo placement, and consistent formatting across all ministry publications.
What you need:
Experience with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, or Canva for document formatting. Attention to detail — these are published books. Ability to follow brand guidelines exactly. Project-based availability.
What you will NOT have access to:
Gumroad account or any financial settings. Any publishing authority — formatted files are submitted to Pastor Nicole for review and approval before anything goes live.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.
Digital Administrative Assistant
What you will do:
Organize and maintain digital files for the ministry — manuscripts, graphics, documents, correspondence. Help create and maintain organized filing systems using Google Drive or similar tools. Assist with scheduling and tracking ministry projects. Generate activity reports as requested — for example summarizing information provided to you by Pastor Nicole.
What you need:
Strong organizational skills. Experience with Google Drive, Google Docs, and basic spreadsheet tools. Reliability and follow-through. Understanding that all ministry information is strictly confidential.
What you will NOT have access to:
Ministry bank accounts of any kind. Gumroad payment settings or payout information. Any live financial systems of any kind. Reports are generated from data provided to you — not from direct account access.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.
Community Outreach Volunteer
What you will do:
Help spread awareness of specific ministry initiatives in relevant communities — online and in person. The three priority outreach areas are: The Ida B. Wells Educational Scholarship Fund — connecting with students whose education has been interrupted by chronic illness, dialysis, transplantation, disability, or caregiving. IMPACT Black Kidney Health — sharing kidney health education and awareness in Black communities, churches, dialysis centers, and healthcare settings. The Still Here Support Group — letting people in hard seasons know this free community exists and is open to them.
What you need:
An existing presence or network in one or more of these communities. Willingness to share resources online and in person. Passion for the mission. No special technical skills required.
What you will NOT have access to:
Any financial accounts of any kind. Authority to make commitments on behalf of the ministry. Any login credentials for ministry systems.
This role is open to Still Here volunteers — people who have faced something hard and kept going. Your story matters here as much as your skill.

How It Works
This is a volunteer program — not a job.
Here is what that means practically.
- You will not be paid.
- You will be given clear direction, approved materials, and everything you need to do the work well.
- You will not have access to ministry finances — ever. No exceptions.
- All work is reviewed and approved before it goes public.
- You will communicate through the ministry email only.
- Every new volunteer begins with one trial project so we can confirm the fit before committing to an ongoing role.
This ministry has been built on trust. That trust matters deeply to us. We are careful — not because we distrust you, but because the people this ministry serves deserve a ministry that is protected and stable.
If you understand that and you are still here — you are exactly who we are looking for.
Who You Will Be Serving
Before you apply — we want you to know who you will be serving.
The dialysis patient who found this ministry at 2 a.m. and needed to know their story was not over.
The caregiver who has given everything to someone else and has nothing left — and found a prayer here that said: you are allowed to rest.
The person who just received a diagnosis that changed everything and does not yet know how to hold it.
The student whose education was interrupted by illness and who needed a scholarship that understood.
The woman who walked into a room full of other women and felt for the first time that she was not alone in what she was carrying.
These are real people.
Your work — however digital, however behind the scenes — reaches them directly.
That is not a small thing.
That is why we do this.

You Found This Page for a Reason.
Nothing happens by chance.
If you have read this far and felt something — a recognition, a pull, a sense that this is exactly where your gift belongs — trust that.
The Still Here Volunteer Team is made of people just like you. People who know what it is to need someone to show up — and who decided they wanted to be that person for someone else.
Submit your application.
We will take it from there.
