Prayer Before Work

Work done for God is sacred work. This prayer covers your day before it begins — asking for excellence, favor with colleagues, and the ability to let your light shine in your workplace.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for my work. I thank You for the opportunity to use my skills and talents. I thank You for the provision that comes through my labor. Today I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my work, over my day, over my interactions with colleagues, over my performance, and over God's favor and blessing.

I thank You that work done for You is sacred work. I thank You for excellence in what I do. I thank You for the ability to do my job well. I thank You for favor with my employer and my colleagues. I thank You for the ability to let my light shine.

I thank You that I am going to have a good day at work. I thank You that I am going to be effective. I thank You that I am going to experience favor. I thank You that my work is meaningful.

I love You. I honor You. I give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
