Prayer for Deliverance

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come before You asking for deliverance. I thank You that You are in the business of setting captives free — that deliverance is not something You do reluctantly but something You do gladly, because freedom is Your will for me. I thank You that Jesus has already secured my freedom. The price has been paid. The chains have been broken. The prison door is open.

I acknowledge what has held me. I will not hide it. I will not minimize it. I name it before You now. It has had power over me. It has controlled my decisions. It has stolen from me. But I am ready to be free.

I confess that I cannot free myself through willpower alone. I have tried. I have failed. My strength is not enough. My discipline is not enough. My shame has not been enough to change me. I need You. I confess that I have believed the lie that I am too far gone, that what has held me is too strong, that freedom is for other people but not for me. Those are lies. I reject them now.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my captivity — over every chain, over every stronghold, over every pattern of thought that keeps me bound, over every trigger that sends me back, over every shame that says I cannot be free. The blood of Jesus is stronger than all of it.

In the name of Jesus, I break every chain. I declare that addiction has no power over me. I declare that compulsion has no authority over me. I declare that the strongholds in my mind are being demolished. I declare that the enemy's grip on this area of my life is broken.

I commit to different choices — not in my own strength, but in the strength You provide. I commit to reaching out for help. I commit to building new patterns. I commit to my recovery, my freedom, my future. Thank You that I am free — not someday, not when I feel like it, but now. I love You. I honor You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
