Prayer for Finding God's Will

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I want to know Your will. Not because I am trying to check a box, but because I genuinely want to be where You want me to be, doing what You created me to do. I thank You that You are not hiding Your will from me. I thank You that You want me to know it more than I want to know it. I thank You that You reveal Yourself to those who seek You with a whole heart.

I acknowledge the confusion. I am not sure what is Your voice and what is my own desire. I am not sure if this opportunity is from You or just from me. I have been trying to figure it out alone, reasoning in circles, and I am no closer to clarity than when I started.

I confess that sometimes I ask for Your will but really want Your approval for what I have already decided. Forgive me for treating You like a rubber stamp. Forgive me for wanting direction without surrender. I lay down my agenda. I lay down my preferences. I want what You want more than I want what I want.

I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my mind — over every voice of confusion, over every distraction, over every counterfeit path that looks like Your will but is not. Cover my thinking in Your clarity. Cover my desires in Your purity.

I ask You to renew my mind. Transform the way I think so that I can test and approve what Your will is — Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Align my desires with Yours. If what I want is not what You want, change what I want. Give me the courage to walk in Your will once You reveal it — even if it is hard, even if it costs me, even if it does not make sense.

I commit to obeying what You show me — not debating it, not negotiating it, not delaying it. Thank You that You are leading me. Thank You that I will know Your will. I love You. I honor You. I am Yours — lead me. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
