Purpose isn't something you manufacture. It isn't a career, a title, or something you achieve. Purpose is the imprint of the Creator on your soul — the thing you were designed to carry that no one else carries in quite the same way. And the beautiful truth is that the God who formed you in your mother's womb is not keeping your purpose a secret. He wants you to know it, walk in it, and flourish in it.

Why This Communion Matters
Many people drift through life never truly knowing why they are here. They build careers, pursue achievements, and check boxes — all while a quiet ache persists beneath the surface. That ache is not a defect. It is the voice of purpose calling you deeper.
The God who made you doesn't do accidents. Before you took your first breath, He wrote a story over your life — a story of impact, influence, and eternal significance. Your purpose is not about what you do. It is about who God made you to become and the people He has assigned you to reach. No one else can do it. No one else has your combination of experiences, gifts, pain, and perspective.
At the Communion Table, you remember that Jesus knew His purpose — and He fulfilled it completely. The cross was not a detour; it was the destination. In the same way, the plans God has for you are not Plan B. They were always the plan. And the body and blood of Jesus are your guarantee that no purpose God has for you will go unfulfilled.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Short Teaching
Jeremiah 29:11 is one of the most quoted verses in Scripture — and for good reason. God spoke these words to a people in exile, a people who had lost their homes, their temple, and their sense of future. They felt forgotten. They wondered if God had abandoned them. And into that hopeless fog, God declared: "I know the plans I have for you."
Notice what God does not say. He does not say, "Figure it out." He does not say, "Maybe someday you'll stumble into your purpose." He says, "I know." The Creator of the universe knows exactly what He is doing with your life. Your purpose is not lost. It is not hidden. It is held — securely — in the hands of the God who spoke galaxies into existence.
And then Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:10 that we are God's handiwork — His poiema, His masterpiece — and that He prepared good works for us to walk in before we ever existed. Your purpose pre-dates your problems. It pre-dates your mistakes. It was established in eternity past and sealed at the cross.
When you take Communion, you are receiving the body and blood of the One whose purpose never wavered. Jesus knew why He came. He said, "For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world — to testify to the truth" (John 18:37). His purpose was the cross. Your purpose flows from the cross. The same Spirit that led Jesus to fulfill His calling lives in you and leads you into yours.
Part One
The Bread
His Body — Broken So You Could Walk in Purpose
Prayer Over the Bread
Lord Jesus,
I hold this bread, and I remember Your body. You came to earth wrapped in purpose. Every step You took, every word You spoke, every person You healed — all of it was moving toward the cross. You never doubted Your calling. You never wavered in Your mission. You completed everything the Father gave You to do.
Your body was broken so that my purpose could be unlocked. I receive clarity for the confusion that has clouded my direction. I receive confidence for the uncertainty that has paralyzed my steps. I receive courage for the calling that feels too big for me. I am Your handiwork — created in Christ Jesus for good works that You prepared in advance. I receive that truth now.
Thank You, Jesus. Your body was broken for me. Help me walk fully in the purpose for which I was created. Amen.
Receive the Bread
Take the bread now. Eat it slowly. As you do, receive the clarity and courage that Christ's broken body purchased for your calling.

Part Two
The Cup
His Blood — The Covenant That Sealed Your Destiny
Prayer Over the Cup
Lord Jesus,
I hold this cup, and I remember Your blood — the blood of the New Covenant. Your blood didn't just purchase forgiveness; it purchased my future. Every plan God has for me was ratified at the cross. Every purpose I carry was sealed by the blood of the Lamb.
I plead Your blood over my calling right now. I plead Your blood over every closed door that needs to open and every open door that I shouldn't walk through. I plead Your blood over the fear that says I'm not qualified, not ready, not enough. I plead Your blood over the voice of the enemy that whispers I have no purpose at all. That is a lie — because my purpose was determined before the foundation of the world and paid for at Calvary.
Your blood speaks a better word over my life. Not aimless — destined. Not forgotten — chosen. Not uncertain — called by name. I receive that word today.
Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
Receive the Cup
Drink now. As you do, receive the fullness of the New Covenant — destiny, purpose, and the unshakable calling of God on your life.

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this time at Your Table. Thank You for the body and blood of Jesus — for the purpose, calling, and destiny they secured for me. I believe that Your plans for me are good, that You are not hiding my purpose from me, and that You are actively leading me into the fullness of what You created me to do.
I leave this Table differently than I came. I came searching, wondering, uncertain — but I leave knowing that the God who began a good work in me will carry it to completion. I leave knowing that my purpose is not a mystery to be solved but a relationship to be walked out with the One who designed me. I leave knowing that even the waiting seasons are part of the preparation.
Walk with me now, Holy Spirit. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Give me discernment to know which opportunities are from You and which are distractions. Align my heart with Your purposes so completely that I wouldn't want anything outside of Your will even if it were offered to me.
