Prayer for Guidance

Father, I come before You on behalf of every person who needs Your direction — those facing big decisions, small decisions, and everything in between.

Lord, You promise that when we lack wisdom, we can ask You and You give generously without finding fault. So I ask right now on their behalf: give them wisdom. Give them clarity. Cut through the confusion. Silence every competing voice so they can hear Yours.

I pray specifically for the decision they are facing right now — the one they have been turning over in their mind, the one that keeps them up at night, the one they don't know how to make. Lord, make the path clear. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones — and give them the discernment to know the difference. If they should wait, give them the patience to wait. If they should move, give them the courage to move.

Father, Your Word says You guide us with Your eye upon us — not with a bridle and bit like a horse that must be forced, but with a gentle glance, a still small voice, a peace that confirms. I ask for that kind of intimate guidance. Let them know that they know that they know what You are saying.

Guard them from deception. Protect them from advice that sounds right but leads to destruction. Give them counselors who speak Your truth. Let them test every spirit, every word, every leading against Your Word.

I bind the confusion that the enemy uses to paralyze Your people. Confusion, you have no authority here. Fear of making the wrong decision, you do not get to keep this person stuck. In the name of Jesus, I declare that this person will hear God clearly and follow Him boldly.

Thank You, Father, that Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Thank You that You are not hiding Your will from them — You delight in revealing it.
