Prayer for Marriage

Father, I come before You on behalf of every marriage — the ones that are strong and the ones that are strained, the newlyweds and the decades-long partners, the ones who laugh easily and the ones who have forgotten how.

Lord, You are the Author of marriage. You designed this covenant to reflect Your love for the Church. I ask You to breathe fresh life into every marriage reading this prayer. Where there is distance, draw them close. Where there is resentment, release forgiveness. Where there is silence, restore conversation. Where there is hurt, bring healing.

I pray for husbands. Give them wisdom to lead with love, not control. Give them tenderness to listen, not just solve. Let them cherish their wives as Christ cherishes the Church — sacrificially, unconditionally, with honor.

I pray for wives. Give them strength and grace. Let them be partners who build up and not tear down. Let them speak truth in love. Protect their hearts from bitterness. Let them find their security in You so they can love freely.

Father, I bind every spirit of division, every assignment of the enemy against this marriage. Divorce is not Your plan. Separation is not Your design. I speak unity, agreement, and oneness over every marriage right now.

I pray for the hard seasons — the financial strain, the parenting disagreements, the in-law tension, the betrayal, the disappointment, the growing apart. Lord, redeem every broken place. What the enemy meant for destruction, turn it for good. Let this marriage not just survive but thrive.

Thank You, Father, that You are the God of restoration. Thank You that no marriage is beyond Your reach. Thank You that You make all things new — including this.
