Prayer for the New Year
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning." — Lamentations 3:22-23
A new year is an invitation to new beginnings. It is a time to reflect on the year behind with wisdom, carry forward the lessons learned, and set our hearts on what God has ahead. This prayer helps you commit the coming year into God's hands — your goals, your dreams, your growth, and everything you hope this year will be.
A New Year Prayer
Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for this new year. I thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. I thank You that I can leave last year behind and step into what is ahead. Today I plead the precious blood of Jesus over this year, over my goals, over my dreams, over my growth, and over God's complete direction and blessing.
I thank You that a new year is an invitation to new beginnings. I thank You for the ability to reflect on last year with wisdom. I thank You for lessons learned. I thank You for plans and goals that are aligned with Your purpose. I thank You for hope that this year will be better.
I thank You that this year is going to be significant. I thank You that I am stepping into new things. I thank You that I am growing and changing. I thank You that this year will be blessed.
I love You. I honor You. I give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
