Purpose in the Midst of Illness
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
God does not reassign purpose based on medical charts. He does not look at a treatment schedule and decide someone is no longer useful. Right now — in this body, in this season, in this limitation — you have purpose. Not theoretical. Now. Present tense. Real and active.
Short Declarations
My illness has not canceled my calling. My limitations have not expired my purpose. God uses me from exactly where I am. The chair is not a setback — it is an assignment. My testimony is being built right here. Purpose does not require perfect health. God is glorified in my survival. Someone needs what I carry — and I can still give it. I am not waiting to be well to be used. I am being used right now — from here.
A Declaration of Purpose in Illness
I declare that my calling did not die when my diagnosis arrived.
God does not reassign purpose based on medical charts.
He does not look at a treatment schedule and decide someone is no longer useful.
He does not wait for perfect health before He shows up in someone's life and says — I have work for you.
I declare that right now — in this body, in this season, in this limitation — I have purpose.
Not theoretical purpose. Not future purpose when things get better. Now purpose. Present tense. Real and active.
My story is being written right here — in the hard place. My testimony is being built right here — in the long season. My ministry is happening right here — from the place nobody would have chosen.
And that is exactly where God does some of His best work.
I receive my purpose today.
I am not waiting to feel better to show up.
I am showing up now.
From here.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
