Prayer for Rest

Father, I come asking for rest. For my body to sleep. For my mind to quiet. For my spirit to be at peace.

God, rest is not laziness. Rest is restoration. Rest is when healing happens. Rest is when I am most connected to You.

I am releasing the burden of productivity. I am releasing the need to do more. I am releasing the guilt that tells me I should be working instead of resting. I am allowing myself to rest.

I pray for those whose minds will not slow down. For those whose thoughts race when they try to sleep. God, quiet their minds. Let Your peace settle over them like a blanket. Help them release the worries of the day into Your hands.

I pray for those whose bodies are exhausted but cannot find rest. For those in pain that makes sleep difficult. For those whose health conditions interrupt their rest. God, bring relief. Let their bodies find the rest they desperately need.

I declare that my body is resting well. That sleep is coming easily. That my mind is quiet. That my dreams are peaceful. That I am waking up refreshed and restored.

I claim the truth that Jesus offers me rest. That those who come to Him will find rest for their souls. That in rest I am stronger. That restoration happens in the stillness.

In Jesus' name, claiming my rest. Amen.
