Prayer for Thanksgiving

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thanksgiving is a holy pause — a moment to stop, remember, and name the goodness of God. This prayer helps you gather with a grateful heart, acknowledging provision, relationships, and the everyday blessings too easily overlooked.

A Thanksgiving Prayer

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Thanksgiving. I thank You for the opportunity to stop and remember Your goodness. I thank You for the abundance You have given. Today I plead the precious blood of Jesus over this Thanksgiving, over my gratitude, over my family, over our table, and over God's complete blessing and provision.

I thank You that Thanksgiving is a holy pause in the busyness. I thank You for provision that has sustained us. I thank You for relationships that enrich us. I thank You for blessings obvious and blessings I have overlooked. I thank You for a God who is worthy of thanksgiving.

I thank You that we are gathering with grateful hearts. I thank You that we are sharing in community. I thank You that we are taking time to remember. I thank You that gratitude is filling our hearts.

I love You. I honor You. I give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
