Prayer for My Wife

"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord." — Proverbs 18:22

A husband who prays for his wife is one of the most powerful forces on earth. When you cover your wife in prayer — her faith, her wisdom, her strength, and her heart — you are not only loving her as Christ loved the church; you are building a foundation of spiritual protection around her and your marriage. This prayer is for husbands who want to stand in the gap for the woman God entrusted to them.

A Prayer for My Wife

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the woman You have given me as my wife. I thank You for her strength, her wisdom, her beauty, and her commitment. Today I plead the precious blood of Jesus over my wife — over her mind, over her heart, over her health, and over her walk with You.

I thank You that she is a woman of God and that You are working in her. I thank You for her wisdom, her discernment, and her ability to nurture our family. I thank You for the ability to love her, to cherish her, and to speak life to her.

I thank You for her resiliency. I thank You for her prayers. I thank You that she is growing spiritually. I thank You that our marriage is strong because she is strong in her faith. I thank You for the partnership we share and for the wife You have given me.

I love You. I honor You. I give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

I confess that my wife is a woman of God, fearfully and wonderfully made. I confess that I love her as Christ loves the church. I confess that she is growing, thriving, and fulfilling her God-given purpose. I confess that our marriage honors God.

I declare that I cherish my wife. I declare that I speak life and blessing over her. I declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus. I declare that our marriage is a testimony of God's faithfulness.
