Prayer When You're Worried About Money

Father — Jehovah Jireh, my Provider — I come to You with the numbers that don't add up. I come with the bills that outpace the income. I come with the worry that settled into my chest the moment I looked at the bank balance and realized it wasn't going to be enough this month.

Lord, I confess that I have let money worries consume mental real estate You paid for with the blood of Jesus. I have meditated on the problem more than the Provider. I have lain awake doing calculations instead of casting my cares on You. I have treated my finances like they depend entirely on me — when Your Word says You are the source of every good thing.

I bring my finances to You now. I give You my bank account, my budget, my debts, my income — every dollar and every cent. It's all Yours because I am Yours. I ask for wisdom to steward what You have given me. I ask for open doors of provision — opportunities I didn't see coming, creativity for new income streams, unexpected blessings from unexpected places.

And where the math still doesn't work — where my effort plus my wisdom plus my planning still comes up short — I ask for miracles. You are the God who multiplied loaves and fishes. You sent manna in a wilderness where there were no grocery stores. You told Peter to find a coin in a fish's mouth to pay the temple tax. You are not limited by my spreadsheet or my bank balance or the economy.

I release the worry. I refuse to let fear about money steal another night of sleep. The same God who feeds the sparrows will feed me — and I am worth more than sparrows. My provision is tied to Your glory, not the stock market. My security is in Your character, not my checking account. I trust You with what I cannot control.

Thank You for every bill You've already paid, every need You've already met, every impossible situation You've already turned around. You have never failed me, and You are not going to start now. I receive Your provision, Your peace, and Your perspective. In Jesus' name — my Provider and my Peace. Amen.
