Truth & Knowledge
The truth will set you free — but first you have to know it. Stand on what is real.
We live in a world drowning in information but starving for truth. Jesus said He is the truth — not that He has truth, but that He IS truth. These Scriptures anchor you in what is unchanging when everything around you shifts. Knowledge begins with the fear of the Lord, and truth is not a concept — it is a Person.

Truth Sets Free“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The Real Teaching
Truth is not just information — it is liberation. Jesus didn't say "you will learn the truth and it will be interesting." He said the truth will set you free. Freedom is the fruit of truth. And notice the condition: "If you hold to my teaching." Truth is not something you encounter once — it is something you abide in, hold to, live in. That is how you know it. That is how it frees you.
What This Looks Like
Lies have a louder microphone than truth in this world. Social media, headlines, opinions — everyone has a "truth." But Jesus is not A truth — He is THE truth. John 14:6 is exclusive on purpose. There is one way, one truth, one life. And Proverbs 1:7 tells you where knowledge starts: not with a degree, not with being the smartest person in the room — with the fear of the Lord. Reverence is the foundation of real knowing.
What to Do
- Abide in the Word. Truth is not a drive-through — it's a home. Read Scripture daily, not just when you have a problem.
- Test everything against Scripture. Not every voice that sounds spiritual is speaking truth. The Bereans "examined the Scriptures daily to see if what Paul said was true" — follow their example.
- Ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 is a blank check. God gives wisdom generously and without finding fault. Pray it.
- Let Scripture equip you. All Scripture is God-breathed and useful — for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training. Let it do its full work.
- Start with reverence. Knowledge begins with the fear of the Lord. Approach Him with awe, not casual familiarity.
- Walk in the freedom truth brings. The truth is not just for knowing — it's for living. Let it set you free in every area of your life.

Father, anchor me in Your truth. In a world of shifting opinions and competing voices, let me stand on what is unchanging. Give me wisdom when I lack it. Let Your Word dwell in me richly — teaching, correcting, and equipping me. Set me free through the truth of who You are. In Jesus's name, Amen.
