You've Got a Superpower You're Not Using Right
You're walking around with dominion. Real dominion. Not metaphorical. Not wishful thinking. Real authority. But you're using it wrong. Or you're not using it at all.
Most people don't understand what dominion actually is, so they either walk around timid as hell or they're trying to force it in ways that don't work. They're speaking positive affirmations that have nothing to do with Scripture. They're "manifesting" like they're on TikTok instead of operating in spiritual authority. They're trying to will things into existence instead of partnering with God's power.
And then they wonder why nothing changes. Because real dominion doesn't work like that. Real dominion has foundations. And if you're not standing on those foundations, you're not walking in dominion. You're just making noise.
Foundation 1: Humility — Your Greatest Spiritual Weapon
Here's what nobody tells you: Humility is power. Real power. Spiritual power.
I know that sounds backwards. You think power means swagger. Confidence. Loudness. Big energy. But that's natural power. That's the world's definition of power. Spiritual power is different.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."
Humble yourselves. That's when heaven moves. That's when God hears. That's when restoration comes. Not when you're arrogant. Not when you're flexing. Not when you're convinced of your own power. When you're humble.
Humility is understanding that you're not the source of power. God is. Humility is knowing that any authority you have comes from God, not from yourself. Humility is operating with the awareness that you're the vessel, not the source.
Without humility, you're trying to access God's power without submission to God. And that doesn't work. So the first foundation of real dominion is humility. You have to know who you are. And who you are is a servant of God empowered by God's grace, not a self-made powerhouse.
Foundation 2: Abiding in Christ — Your Connection to Power
John 15:5 (The Passion Translation)
"I am the vine and you're the branches. The one who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
Apart from me, you can do nothing. Not much. Nothing. Zero. So dominion isn't about your effort. It's about your connection. It's about abiding in Christ.
What does abiding mean? It means staying. It means remaining. It means living in such a close relationship with Jesus that His life becomes your life. It means His words are in your heart. It means His presence is your reality. It means you're not just a Sunday Christian. You're a "Christ is my constant reality" Christian.
Colossians 1:27 (God's Word Translation)
"God wanted to make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
Christ in you. Not Christ somewhere else. Not Christ up in heaven only. Christ in you. The same Christ who defeated death, rose from the grave, sits at the right hand of God, commands the heavenlies — He's in you. When Christ abides in you and you abide in Christ, dominion is automatic. You don't have to force it. You just have to stay connected.
Foundation 3: Know Exactly Who You Are in Christ
Here's what kills dominion: Identity confusion. You don't know who you are. So you try to walk in power you don't believe you have. You're confused about your position. You're unclear about your authority. And uncertainty = powerlessness.
A child of God
Not an orphan. Not abandoned.
Redeemed
Bought back. Set free. At full price.
Forgiven
Every sin. Every failure. Every mistake.
Righteous
Not by works. By what Jesus did.
Loved
Not because you earned it. Unconditionally.
Empowered
The same Spirit that raised Jesus lives in you.
An heir
Of God. Co-heir with Christ.
Seated in the heavenlies
With Christ. Not struggling down here.
Ephesians 1:3 (NLT)
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ."
Every spiritual blessing. In the heavenly realms. Because you're united with Christ. This is who you are. But you have to know it — not intellectually, but deep down in your spirit. You have to know who you are in Christ so fully that when doubt comes, you're not confused. Identity is power. Know who you are.
Foundation 4: Speak What God Says — Not What You Feel
This is where most people mess up. They're speaking what they feel. "I feel like I'm failing. I feel like nobody likes me. I feel like this will never work." And then they wonder why their life matches their words. It's because your words are creative. Your words literally shape your reality.
Proverbs 23:7 (God's Word Translation)
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who calculates, so he is."
Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your reality. So if you're speaking defeat, you're creating defeat. If you're speaking limitation, you're creating limitation. If you're speaking what you feel instead of what God says, you're overriding God's truth with your feelings. And feelings are unreliable narrators.
Here's what real dominion sounds like: "God says I'm healed, so I am." "God says I'm prosperous, so I am." "God says I'm capable, so I am." "God says I'm victorious, so I am."
Romans 10:8-9 (NLT)
"But what does it say? 'The word is near you; it is on your lips and in your heart,' that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Declare with your mouth. Believe in your heart. That's the formula. Your confessions need to be based on Scripture. "Thus saith the Lord." That's how you know your declaration has weight. You're not speaking from your opinion — you're speaking from God's Word. And God's Word doesn't return empty.
The Element Nobody Talks About: Violent Faith
There's something about dominion that sounds soft and nice but is actually aggressive. It's violent faith.
Hebrews 11:33-34 (God's Word Translation)
"Through faith these people conquered kingdoms, did what was right, and received what God had promised. They shut the mouths of lions, put out raging fires, and escaped from the edge of swords. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became mighty in battle and routed foreign armies."
Violent faith. Not nice faith. Not polite faith. Violent. These people conquered kingdoms. They shut the mouths of lions. They routed foreign armies. That's the kind of faith that produces dominion. Not wimpy. Not passive. Violent. Aggressive. Powerful.
Most Christians are walking around with weak faith. "Well, God can heal if He wants to. But maybe not me." "Well, God can prosper people. But maybe not me." "Well, God can do miracles. But probably not in my situation." That's not faith. That's doubt dressed up in religious language.
Violent faith says: "God said it. I believe it. That settles it." Violent faith doesn't ask permission. It doesn't make excuses. It doesn't question whether God will. It stands on God's Word and refuses to move. Your faith needs to be violent — not in a physical way, but in spiritual intensity.
The Holiness Factor: Why Your Life Matters
Here's something that'll make you uncomfortable: Your holiness affects your power. Not in a judgmental way. Not in a shame way. But literally, spiritually.
Psalm 24:3-4 (The Passion Translation)
"Who is able to ascend the mountain of the Lord? And who may stand in his holy place? Only the one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully."
Only the one with clean hands and a pure heart. That's the person who can stand in God's holy place. That's the person who can access the heavenlies. Spiritual contamination weakens spiritual power. If you're holding onto stuff that's not of God — unforgiveness, lust, greed, deception — you're weakening your spiritual authority. It's like trying to access a secure system with a virus on your computer. It's not going to work.
So part of walking in dominion is maintaining purity. Not perfection. Nobody's perfect. But purity. A commitment to keeping your life aligned with God's standards. A commitment to dealing with sin quickly. When your life is pure, your spiritual power increases. Heaven recognizes someone who's committed to holiness. And heaven backs up that person.
Build Your Arsenal: Store Scripture in Your Heart
You can't speak what God says if you don't know what God says. So many Christians are trying to walk in authority but they don't have Scripture. They're trying to declare things based on vibes and feelings. But real dominion is built on the Word of God.
Psalm 119:11 (God's Word Translation)
"I have hidden your word in my heart so I would not sin against you."
Hidden in your heart. Not just on your phone. Not just in a commentary. In your heart. Memorized. Meditated on. Known. Part of your spiritual DNA. This is why you need Scripture memory classes. Bible study. Daily reading. Meditation. Not to look spiritual. But to build your arsenal.
Every verse you store in your heart is a weapon you can deploy. When temptation comes, you have a verse. When doubt comes, you have a verse. When the enemy attacks, you have a verse.
Jesus defeated the enemy in the wilderness with Scripture. "It is written... It is written... It is written..." Three times He used Scripture to destroy the enemy's attack. That's how you fight too. Your authority is only as strong as your knowledge of God's Word.
When All Four Foundations Are in Place
When you're humble, you're aligned with how God operates.
When you abide in Christ, you're connected to the source of all power.
When you know who you are, you walk with confidence.
When you speak what God says, you're aligning your words with reality.
When you manifest violent faith, you're refusing to accept defeat.
When you live in purity, heaven backs you up.
When you store Scripture in your heart, you have weapons ready.
These four foundations working together = dominion. Real dominion. Not fake. Not wishful thinking. Not manipulation. Real spiritual authority.
People will feel it. Circumstances will shift. The enemy will recognize it and flee. Heaven will back it up. This is what it looks like to actually walk in power.
What This Looks Like in Your Real Life Right Now
The Job Interview
Your old identity would be nervous, comparing yourself, doubting. But you know who you are in Christ. You're qualified. You're capable. You're empowered. You walk in there with authority. They feel it. You get the job.
The Health Crisis
Your old self would spiral into fear. But you're abiding in Christ. You know His Word says you're healed. You speak what God says instead of what the doctor said. You take authority over sickness in your body. Healing comes.
The Workplace Pressure
You're being pressured to do something unethical at work. Your old self might cave. But you're walking in purity. You're not allowing spiritual contamination. You stand firm. You say no. And somehow, mysteriously, it's okay.
The Relationship Falling Apart
Your old self would panic and desperately try to fix it. But you're grounded in Scripture. You're humble enough to let God work. You declare what God says about restoration and unity. Things shift. Not because you forced it, but because you spoke it.
The Financial Pressure
Your old self would be in survival mode, stressed, trying to figure it out. But you're standing on God's Word about provision. You're declaring abundance. You're walking in faith that God will provide. Opportunities open up. Provision comes.
An Invitation to Walk in Real Power
Stop trying to force dominion. Start building the foundations.
Get humble. Recognize that your power comes from God.
Abide in Christ. Make your relationship with Jesus non-negotiable.
Know who you are. Stop walking around confused about your identity.
Speak what God says. Replace negative confessions with Scripture-based declarations.
Manifest violent faith. Stop being wimpy. Stand on God's Word aggressively.
Live in purity. Keep your life aligned with God's standards.
Store Scripture. Fill your heart with God's Word so you have weapons ready.
When these four foundations are in place, dominion is automatic. You don't have to fake it. You don't have to force it. You just have to build it. And then watch what happens when you actually walk in real power.
