Greek & Hebrew definitions for deep study of Scripture — the words that shaped the Bible.
Why These Words Matter
The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek, and every word was chosen by the Holy Spirit with intention. Understanding what these words meant to their original audience opens Scripture in ways that English translations cannot fully capture. These 75 words are the building blocks of biblical truth — learning them will deepen your study, strengthen your faith, and enrich your time in God's Word.

Brotherly affection and friendship love — the warm, relational bond between close companions (John 21:15-17, Romans 12:10).
Familial love — the natural affection between parents and children and among family members (Romans 12:10 uses a compound form, philostorgos).
