Welcome
You are welcome here — exactly as you are. Whether you just received a diagnosis that knocked the wind out of you, are in the middle of treatment that exhausts your body and spirit, are celebrating remission while still healing, or are standing in faith for a loved one fighting cancer — this Communion Service was prepared for you.
The word "cancer" carries weight that few other words carry. It changes plans. It tests faith. It brings you face to face with your own mortality. But hear this: cancer is not the final word over your life. God is. And at this Table, you meet the One who speaks the final word.
"For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." — Jeremiah 30:17
Opening Prayer
Father God,
I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ — the name above every name, the name above cancer. Thank You that I do not have to clean myself up before I come to You. Thank You that the blood of Jesus covers me and makes a way for me to approach Your throne with confidence.
Lord, I bring this diagnosis before You. I bring every scan, every test result, every treatment plan, every fear that wakes me up at 3 a.m. I lay it all on this altar. You know every cell in my body because You created every cell in my body. Nothing that is happening inside me is a surprise to You — and nothing is beyond Your power to heal.
I quiet my heart now. I set aside the statistics, the percentages, the what-ifs, and the worst-case scenarios. I fix my eyes on You — the God who heals, the God who restores, the God who is still in the miracle business. Meet me at this Table.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Primary Scripture
Jeremiah 30:17
"For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: 'It is Zion, for whom no one cares!'"
Psalm 103:2–4
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy."
Read these verses again — slowly. Let them sink past your ears and into your spirit.
Short Teaching
Jeremiah 30:17 is a declaration of restoration spoken over a people who had been devastated. God says: "I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal." Not "I might heal you if you pray enough." Not "I'll think about it." "I will."
Cancer is not a punishment from God. It is the result of living in a fallen world where sickness exists. But the same God who created your body has the power to restore it. The same Jesus who healed every person who came to Him in the Gospels has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) — and that means He still heals today.
When you take Communion, you are not performing a religious ritual. You are physically receiving — by faith — what Christ's body and blood already purchased. The bread represents His body — broken so yours could be made whole. The cup represents His blood — poured out as the New Covenant, which includes the promise of healing. Every stripe on Jesus' back was payment for your healing. Every drop of His blood speaks a better word over your body than any diagnosis ever could.
Some people are healed instantly. Others walk a longer road. Both are miracles. Both are evidence of God's faithfulness. Your healing journey — however it looks — does not determine whether God is good. He already settled that question at the cross. Communion is your opportunity to receive what He has already provided and to anchor yourself in the truth that the Great Physician is still practicing medicine.
Part One
The Bread
His Body — Broken for Your Wholeness
Prayer Over the Bread
Lord Jesus,
I hold this bread in my hands, and I remember Your body. You took on human flesh. You walked among us. You felt fatigue, pain, and the full weight of physical suffering. You understand what it is to inhabit a body that hurts. And You chose to let Your body be broken so that mine could be made whole.
Scripture says that by Your wounds — by the stripes laid across Your back, by the nails driven through Your hands, by the spear that pierced Your side — I am healed. I receive that healing now. I receive wholeness for every cell, every organ, every system that cancer has touched. I speak to my body: you will not be defined by a diagnosis. You will be defined by what the blood of Jesus has accomplished.
I receive strength for the treatment journey. I receive peace that passes understanding while I wait for results. I receive restoration for what cancer has taken — energy, peace of mind, time with loved ones. Jesus, Your body was broken for me. I receive the fullness of what that purchased.
Amen.
Receive the Bread
Take the bread now. Eat it slowly. As you do, consciously receive the healing that Christ's broken body purchased for you. Every cell that has been affected by cancer — receive His wholeness.

Part Two
The Cup
His Blood — The New Covenant of Healing
Prayer Over the Cup
Lord Jesus,
I hold this cup, and I remember Your blood — the blood of the New Covenant. Your blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Abel's blood cried out for justice, but Your blood cries out for mercy, for redemption, for complete restoration.
I plead Your blood over my body right now. I plead Your blood over every cell that has become cancerous. I plead Your blood over every treatment I undergo — that it would be effective and that side effects would be minimized. I plead Your blood over every scan and every test — that the results would show healing and restoration.
I plead Your blood over my mind — against the fear, the anxiety, the racing thoughts in the middle of the night. I plead Your blood over my spirit — against discouragement, against despair, against the temptation to give up. I plead Your blood over my family — protect them, strengthen them, comfort them.
By the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed. By the blood of Jesus, I am healed. By the blood of Jesus, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Thank You, Jesus, for the New Covenant in Your blood. Amen.
Receive the Cup
Drink now. As you do, receive the fullness of the New Covenant — forgiveness, peace, adoption, and healing. Let the blood of Jesus cover every part of your life that needs restoration.

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this time at Your Table. Thank You for the body and blood of Jesus — for the healing, forgiveness, peace, and restoration they represent. I believe that what was accomplished at Calvary is enough. I believe that Jeremiah 30:17 is true for me: You will restore my health and heal my wounds.
I leave this Table differently than I came. I leave carrying the truth that I am not defined by a diagnosis — I am defined by the finished work of Christ. Whether You heal me instantly or walk with me through treatment, I trust You. I trust Your timing. I trust Your methods. And I trust that You are working all things together for my good because I love You and I am called according to Your purpose.
Walk with me now, Holy Spirit. When fear knocks, remind me that I have already been to the Table and received everything I need. When symptoms try to tell a different story, let Your truth rise louder in my spirit. When I feel alone, remind me that You said You would never leave me or forsake me.
I seal this Communion in the precious blood of Jesus. No diagnosis, no report, no statistic, and no symptom can override what Christ accomplished on the cross.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Declarations
Speak these declarations aloud. Let your own ears hear the truth of God's Word over your body.
The Lord will restore my health and heal my wounds. (Jeremiah 30:17)
By the wounds of Jesus, I am healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in me and gives life to my mortal body. (Romans 8:11)
